my mom….someone everyone should know….She is the sweetest person, makes a mean lasagna and meatloaf, puts others needs before herself, leads by example, inspires, and brings out the best in others,….
She is strong and courageous What an inspiration to me! When I think I am having a bad day, I think of all she has been through and has overcome.
My mom is a master gardner…she is the one who taught me how to keep a plant alive (more on the ORCHID story later:-)
For now, let me tell you a little about her:
Debra LOVES life. And it shows. Every thing she sets her hands to takes to LIFE…..she even has a dog (Henri) that rescues birds that have fallen out of their nest. MY MOM takes them to the “Bird Sanctuary”. ( Seriously, this has happened a few times!!) Not only does she drop them off, but calls later to check on their progress. She is the most kindred spirit I know. She truly cares about life. She draws and paints and writes about ways God speaks to her.
Mom, thank you for teaching me in a gentle and quiet way. I can remember waking in the mornings to you being at the table with your bible and journal, your cup of coffee. You were so tender and sincere, sharing with me what God spoke to you that morning.
I am who I am today because of what you have given me…..
thank you mom
Awww-! That is sweet, but actually even I know most of it to be true! What I didn’t know was that Henri has been going out to pick up birds! Remarkable! (I just hope his girlfriend across the road doesn’t find out- she’d be SOOO jealous)!
Mom’s are special! I had mine until I was 60! She passed at age 94! I wish my mom could have blogged!
D~ yes, we better keep that a secret from Sophie girl….she would be so jealous! Thank you for stopping by. Glad you could fit it into your shhhedule!Have a great day creating…sending thoughts your way!
Papa, WOW, 94! What a rich life. All the more reason to miss her. Thank you for coming over and sharing!
Mo Stor,
How did I get so blessed to have a daughter like you? What amazes me is how we complete each other. When I’m with you I feel like I’m with the other half of myself. We think alike, laugh until we cry and share the deep things of our hearts. In you I have a rare treasure. I love you so much! Mom
Mom, Thank you for your kind words. I feel the same….a completion. I know it is a rare treasure. I miss you so much! That’s it, I am calling you right now!! do stor
Eternally powerful.
Dr Dan…..so true. I continue to see the power of MOM through my own. I was not raised with her…spent my summers in Santa Monica with her. I know that the Lord has redeemed so much in our relationship, and has given me eternal eyes to see the power of being a mom.
Thank you for coming by, and I hope you stop by again!
Keep writing!
