A very short 6 weeks ago we lost two of our brothers in an off duty accident.  My heart quickly steps into the shoes of their 2 beautiful  brides and thier daughters…..I have not been able to get them out of my heart…
nor should I.
I think of all of the things….
the sound of Sean’s truck [...]

Does anyone besides me ever say YES when you really mean NO?
This is something that I have battled with for a long time, and I am really trying to peel the onion peel back and figure out why.  WHY I overschedule myself.  Why I allow things into my schedule that only water down my effectiveness.

The Piano

I don’t know if it was me or Him when the impression came to my heart to give away my piano.
I had wanted to play piano since I was little.  The only piano I had access to was at my grandpa’s house.  I saw him once or twice a year.  and when I did, I was [...]

“for by my stripes  you are healed…..”
By now Jess and I were getting more used to being in tight spaces and not being able to move around much  She was venturing out a bit, and trying to do more on her own.   She had good days, and bad days.
Sean opened the pool the following week.  [...]

I don’t know when the road of our lives took a turn, but the bend in that road sent us on a very long and difficult journey.  I can talk about these things because I have moved past them and they are behind me now.  God’s healing hand has lessened the pain as we have traveled [...]

Did you know?

Ok, since it is Friday, I thought I would “lighten things up” a bit.
keep it pretty brainless, actually….
So, do you know what today is?

It’s National Doughnut Day people!!!  Have you ever heard of such a thing?!
I’m not a huge doughnut fan myself, but if I HAVE to choose one, then it is the maple bar.  BUT, I only [...]
